Job Description

Job title: Team Product Owner

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £76,194 - £89,640

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our Birmingham office.

About this opportunity:

Join us in our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division as we look to transform the way we deliver for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of one of the UK’s largest financial institutions, where innovation, collaboration and purposeful work come together to help Britain prosper.

As our Team Product owner, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving value for our customers and stakeholders, ensuring that our teams focus on the right priorities to deliver impactful outcomes. You’ll work within a collaborative Lab environment, leading teams and partnering closely with colleagues across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to build the direction and plan for our products, lead gradual updates, and play a part in the Group’s evolution process.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shape product vision and roadmap at Lab or Team level Lead and refine the product backlog to deliver incremental value

  • Bring external view on Trade finance product evolution as industry digitises and expands on data capability to develop new product and servicing proposition

  • Define and prioritise user stories to meet customer needs and improve journeys

  • Be responsible for product change governance and business readiness activities

  • Provide product performance insights and support benefits realisation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery

Why Lloyds Banking Group:

Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too!

What you’ll need:

  • Experience as a Team Product Owner within Trade Finance with desirable experience in data and developing and delivering new product and proposition

  • Confirmed understanding of product lifecycle and backlog management

  • Consistent track record of defining and delivering against a product vision and roadmap

  • Excellent team leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Analytical approach with experience in performance and benefits tracking

  • Proficiency in practices concerning governance and business state of readiness

About working for us:

Our focus is to ensure we’re inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We’re committed to creating a consciously inclusive workplace where our colleagues can be themselves, thrive and perform at their best.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.

As an inclusive employer, we offer Workplace Adjustments for colleagues with a disability (which may include long-term health and neurodivergent conditions) where it is reasonable to do so. This could include flexibility with regards to office attendance, location, and working pattern.

We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Leader. If you have a disability, you can also apply via our Disability Confident Scheme (DCS). Through the DCS, we guarantee to interview a fair and proportionate number of applicants with a disability, whose application meets the minimum criteria for the advertised job role.

We also provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers for applicants with a disability, long-term health condition or neurodivergent condition. If you’d like an adjustment to the recruitment process just let us know!

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%

  • An annual performance-related bonus

  • Share schemes including free shares!

  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.

  • 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top

  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
