The roles within structured credit vary, but yes they are generally more on the mathematical side.

Credit structuring generally roles involve pricing using excel models and internal pricing systems, and writing up term sheets for the products you structure to meet your specific client's needs.

Structured credit trading roles are similar in the sense that you spend quite a fair share of time pricing up securities and not so much active trading, as you would in flow trading roles.

Does anyone know what a role in structured credit trading/structuring is like?

How mathematical is it? What are the different areas involved in?

Structured Finance Advisory (liability management and M&A Capital structure advisory)
