I started writing a reply to this post, and thought it would be better to make a longer post on it. This isn't a definitive answer to bank X vs bank Y, but it's a start.

We all seen the surprising results of the EU referendum on Friday morning. You might have read that government interest rates are (almost) back to Trussian levels which could mean that the Bank of England would need to raise interest rates to 5.5% later in the year.
