Job description
Aon is seeking an experienced Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join their UK&I Property Team in London. The role involves working closely with clients, analyzing catastrophe risks, and providing expert insights on natural disaster exposures. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in catastrophe analytics and strong technical and analytical skills.
This role involves leading client analytics for reinsurance placements and projects, focusing on critical topics like View of Risk, Climate Change, Inflation, and Event Response. The analyst will interact directly with reinsurers, brokers, and actuaries to understand exposures, review modeling results, and resolve issues promptly.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in catastrophe analytics, with a master's degree preferably in finance, statistics, science, or a related field. Strong expertise in catastrophe modeling using vendor models like RMS, Verisk, and JBA is essential. Candidates must demonstrate advanced analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
