Job description
A 12-month industrial placement in actuarial consulting focusing on pensions, offering students an opportunity to work with global specialists helping businesses make strategic decisions about employee pension schemes. Ideal for mathematics or actuarial science students looking to gain practical experience in financial risk management and consulting.
Primary responsibilities include conducting regular financial assessments of pension schemes, identifying and implementing risk reduction strategies for trustees and companies, performing complex calculations related to pension schemes, and estimating pension protection fund levies.
Candidates must have or be on track to achieve a 2:1 degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a highly numerical degree, with an A-grade in A-level Mathematics. Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and a passion for actuarial careers are essential.
