This is a 12-month industrial placement in Actuarial Consulting within Aon's Wealth Solutions: Retirement team. Students will work on pension scheme consulting, helping businesses manage financial risks and make strategic decisions about employee pension schemes across various locations in the UK.
Primary responsibilities include regular assessment of pension scheme financial positions, identifying risk mitigation strategies, performing complex calculations for pension schemes, estimating pension protection fund levies, managing client relationships, and attending client meetings.
Candidates must have a strong mathematical background with a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, actuarial science, or a highly numerical degree. An A-grade in A-level Mathematics is required. Key skills include commercial awareness, motivation to pursue an actuarial career, and passion for learning.
