Job description
Berenberg is seeking an Account Manager for its Shipping division in Hamburg. The role involves managing client onboarding for corporate shipping clients in Greece and Western Europe, handling day-to-day business operations in maritime banking, and working closely with international clients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Primary responsibilities include taking full ownership of the client onboarding process for corporate shipping clients, maintaining direct daily client contact, managing international payments, cash management, financial products, deposits, guarantees, and supporting operational shipping and maritime banking activities.
The ideal candidate will have completed a banking apprenticeship or have experience in corporate banking or the shipping industry. Strong communication skills in English are essential, with German and/or Greek language skills being beneficial. The role requires a structured, goal-oriented approach, excellent service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in an international professional environment.
