Job description
A role focusing on detailed analysis and modeling of transmission congestion, charges, and ancillary services for low carbon assets in UK and European markets. The position requires strong numerical skills, data handling capabilities, and electrical engineering knowledge to support commercial analysis and project teams.
This role involves supporting project teams by modeling and forecasting transmission congestion, network charges, losses, and co-optimization of energy and reserve services. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining transmission congestion models, delivering grid configuration valuations, developing commercial transmission portfolio strategies, and creating network analysis reports.
Ideal candidates will have a PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with experience in Power System Economics and electricity markets. Critical requirements include expert-level Excel skills, strong data modeling capabilities, ability to work with grid congestion forecasting, and expertise in network losses and ancillary services optimization.
