Platform Engineering is responsible for designing and maintaining the firm's operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization infrastructure, core network services, and messaging and endpoints on Windows and Linux in both internal and external-facing environments. The engineer will be primarily tasked with designing, implementing, and integrating infrastructure systems, with a strong emphasis on Windows-based technologies.
The ideal candidate must possess extensive Windows software development and systems automation experience. Strong technical competencies include proficiency in C#, PowerShell, and potentially Python and Rust. In-depth understanding of the Windows platform, Active Directory, Failover Clustering, and expertise in troubleshooting using tools like WireShark, ETW, and ProcMon are crucial. Experience with Windows Server applications, management tools, and integrating systems across on-premises and cloud environments is highly valued.
