Responsible for end-to-end delivery of entire engineering solutions, designing and developing microservice applications within a cloud-based high availability architecture. Assist in adopting modern engineering practices, design principles, and Agile methodology across the Merchant Solutions tribe. Engage with business sponsors and stakeholders to implement requirements according to agreed timelines, and partner with DevOps/QA on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to ensure quality solutions are delivered to end users.
Must have significant prior experience with JVM based stack (Spring, Kotlin, Java), microservices with REST APIs, strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, and protocols like HTTPS, WebSockets, SOAP, JSON, XML. Requires hands-on experience with cloud-based architectures, particularly Kubernetes/serverless and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Must be able to consider additional architectural dimensions like security, financials, risk, time-to-market, and compliance. Strong communication skills in English are essential.
