Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join their OPIS Data Science & Analytics team in Barcelona. This role involves designing complex data architectures, developing ML pipelines, and leading technical innovations in a collaborative, fast-growing environment focused on energy market intelligence.
As a Lead Data Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing sophisticated database and machine learning architectures to process large data volumes, optimizing and automating data pipelines using SQL and Python, and integrating data across multiple sources.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with at least 4+ years of experience in data management technologies, advanced SQL coding skills, proficiency in Python/PySpark, cloud data technologies experience, and the ability to write complex queries and develop BI visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
