EY is seeking an experienced Accountant/Tax Consultant to support family businesses, self-employed professionals, SMEs, and startups with their financial obligations. The role involves providing innovative financial solutions, helping entrepreneurs gain a competitive advantage while managing their accounting, compliance, and reporting needs.
Primary responsibilities include supporting clients in their digital financial processes, such as bookkeeping, preparing and interpreting annual accounts, assisting with VAT and corporate tax filings, working on financial projects like management reports, budgeting, financial and competitive analyses, and providing temporary support in accounting, credit control, and internal optimizations.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting and taxation/economics, with at least 6 years of relevant experience in taxation, accounting, or finance. Strong communication skills, fluency in Dutch and English, and the ability to work proactively with team members and supervise junior colleagues are essential. Tech-savviness and experience with ERP packages are advantageous.
