Job description
EY is seeking an experienced legal professional to provide strategic legal and regulatory advice to financial institutions in Belgium. The role involves advising on complex financial regulations, implementing regulatory requirements, and working closely with clients across various financial sectors.
As a Legal & Regulatory Consultant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to financial institutions, focusing on identifying and implementing regulatory requirements. Your primary responsibilities include delivering on-site projects, collaborating with clients' first and second lines of defense, and advising on critical financial regulatory topics such as financial crime, MiFID, banking regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Law with 2-5 years of professional experience in law firms, consultancy, or financial institutions. Strong knowledge of financial regulations is essential, along with exceptional communication skills, multilingual proficiency (Dutch/French/English), and the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex regulatory challenges.
