Job description
EY is seeking an experienced ESG transaction consultant in Berlin to support national and international clients in sustainable business practices. The role involves comprehensive ESG due diligence, risk assessments, market analyses, and strategic sustainability consulting across various sectors.
Primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive ESG due diligence during corporate mergers, performing ESG risk evaluations, market analyses, expert interviews, and site inspections to identify potential ESG issues. Consultants will analyze environmental risks, provide compliance checks, and develop sustainability reports focusing on technical aspects like carbon trading and impact assessments.
Required experience includes a completed degree in environmental planning, environmental engineering, geosciences, business studies, or related fields. Candidates should have practical experience through internships or working student positions in environmental consulting, sustainability departments, or related areas such as soil contamination, water contamination, workplace safety, and experience with scenario analysis and sustainable supply chain management.
