Job description
Gartner is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to strategically acquire new clients in the Public Sector across Germany. The ideal candidate will have extensive B2B sales experience, ability to cultivate high-level relationships, and drive complex sales cycles from prospect identification to client onboarding.
Primary responsibilities include identifying and driving new business opportunities within the Public Sector in Germany, converting prospects into active Gartner clients through full sales conversations and negotiations. The role requires continuously building a high-quality pipeline of opportunities, meeting sales metrics and KPIs, and managing complex high-revenue sales across diverse business environments.
Required experience includes 8+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments. Candidates must have demonstrable business development or new-client acquisition experience, proven ability to sell to and influence C-level executives in the Public Sector, and a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strong forecasting skills and willingness to travel are essential.
