Job description
A 6-month legal internship at Lazard Frères Gestion, a leading asset management firm in Paris. The role involves supporting the legal team in various aspects of fund management, contract review, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic international environment.
The primary responsibilities include participating in legal document drafting in French and English, conducting analyses in corporate law and AMF regulatory frameworks, reviewing and negotiating contracts for the management company, updating standard contract templates, maintaining OPC (Undertaking for Collective Investment) summary tables, supporting the implementation of Operational and Service Fees (FFS), tracking OPC lifecycle, managing OPC distribution, and assisting in regulatory compliance projects like DORA, CSRD, and FFS.
The ideal candidate is a law or business school student (Bac+4/5) with knowledge of banking and asset management regulatory environments. Key requirements include strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, rigorous approach, excellent written and verbal communication in French and English, teamwork orientation, autonomy, and curiosity about legal and financial processes.
