As an intern in Lazard's Secondary Advisory business, you will work on live mandates and business development, supporting deal teams typically comprised of 3-4 professionals. Primary responsibilities include building information materials for marketing companies, conducting new investor/buyer outreach, performing financial modeling for both LP-led and GP-led secondaries processes, preparing presentation materials, communicating across M&A teams, and assisting with transaction management.
The ideal candidate will have relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or transaction services. While secondaries experience is preferred, candidates without prior experience are welcome if they have researched the market. Strong skills in presentation material development, financial modeling, academic excellence, high energy, interpersonal communication, analytical capabilities, and a team player mindset are essential. Professional conduct, adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and fluency in French and English are critical.
