Job description
Moody's is seeking a talented Ratings Associate for their Structured Finance Group in London. This early career role involves performing credit analysis, researching financial data, and supporting lead analysts in rating assignments and market interactions. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, academic excellence, and an interest in finance and credit markets.
The primary responsibilities include performing day-to-day credit analysis related to ratings, researching financial statements, building financial forecasts, and collaborating with lead analysts to develop rating committee memos and research reports. Associates will review financial spreadsheets, analyze data, and apply analytical skills to form credit conclusions.
Candidates must have a minimum undergraduate degree with strong academic performance, preferably in finance, mathematics, or statistics. Essential skills include excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work collaboratively. Some understanding of fixed income markets and credit knowledge is preferred, with Python and SQL skills being an additional advantage.
