Job description
Morgan Stanley is seeking a strategic Sourcing Manager to manage supplier relationships in technology infrastructure, focusing on storage and asset disposal categories. The ideal candidate will act as a quarterback for supplier onboarding and renewals, developing sound sourcing strategies and driving cost reductions across multiple geographies.
As a Sourcing Manager, your primary responsibilities will include facilitating new supplier onboards and renewals for storage and asset disposal categories, working with key suppliers like NetApp, Dell, Pure, TES-AMM, and Iron Mountain. You will serve as a trusted advisor to technology stakeholders, developing comprehensive sourcing strategies that drive baseline reductions, cost avoidance, and risk mitigation.
The role requires a minimum of 5-8 years of hardware sourcing experience, with extensive knowledge of storage platforms, technology, and metrics. Candidates must have proven experience in executing complex storage transactions, including enterprise license and maintenance agreements. Strong commercial negotiation skills, contract interpretation abilities, and cross-functional collaboration are essential. You should be proficient in developing competitive bids, conducting financial analysis, and presenting proposals to stakeholders and leadership.
